After attracting more than 12,000 people last year, thousands are once again expected to get involved in this year's Ballarat Harmony Fest. Now in its eighth year, Harmony Fest celebrates the diversity that makes our city stronger, and a more dynamic and vibrant place to live.
Harmony Fest 2018 celebrations are a chance to learn more about Ballarat's multicultural community through 43 individual and unique events.
Championed by both the community and corporate sectors, the event will also feature 16 local restaurants plating up a range of cultural cuisine, as part of the Tastes of the World food trail.
The festival will culminate with the inaugural Rock the Block youth-led culture event in the CBD on Sunday 25 March. This party will feature four hours of continuous stage performances from headline acts Indigenous Hip Hop Projects, Bortier Okoe plus local talent Rhiannon Simpson, EMBE and Butterfunked, at Federation University's Lydiard Street campus, from 3-7pm. The event will also include a range of activities, creative workshops, delicious food offerings and a chill-out space.
